A Peek into my Rabbitry

I have way too many rabbits to have inside my home! So they are housed in a pole barn along with my two barn cats. I build my cages myself! Each breeder has a minimum cage space of 2.5' wide x 3.5' tall x 4' long. They are on concrete (which is great for their nails and hocks and keeps them cool in the summer). I litter box train, so their space stays as clean as possible. I use water bowls because I feel they stay more hydrated this way. Hay holders round off the space and keep it off the floor!

If my breeders have babies, I wait till the babies are around 4 weeks of age then then move them all, babies plus momma, into a 4' x 4' pen. Everyone gets more space and the mommas are way more relaxed when they can stretch out despite hopping fur balls everywhere, lol!
